About
CANES FIGHT CANCER IS A NEWLY-FOUNDED STUDENT ORGANIZATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI. WE WANT TO MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE SOUTH FLORIDA COMMUNITY AND BEYOND THROUGH OUTREACH AND FUNDRAISING FOR CANCER PATIENTS. WE WANT TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE FAMILIES AND PATIENTS AFFECTED BY CANCER, FOCUSING ON PEDIATRIC AND LUNG CANCER.
Mission
We actively work to fundraise for cancer patients and connect with the South Florida community to specifically support pediatric and lung cancer patients.
Values
After realizing that not only the cancer patient but the close community around them is also affected, we have built a community where members of the club can lean on one another and relate with shared experiences.
Vision
As a new club Canes Fight Cancer has already had a promising start being able to raise $13,000 in the first semester it started. As the second semester begins, we are looking for the next class of students to add to an already close organization as well as expanding CFC to other universities.
